When the temperature falls and snow blankets the earth, Caldera Springs becomes a winter wonderland. Whether you glide along the white surface on cross-country skis or step lightly on snowshoes, the many acres of Ponderosa pines and snow-clad trails invite you to explore.

A Mountain of Fun

When it comes to winter fun there's no place cooler than Central Oregon. And the coolest place of all is Mt. Bachelor - a 9,065-foot powder magnet averaging 370 inches of snow per year. Although the mountain is known for its skiing (the US Olympic Ski Team trains here) the slopes are snowboard friendly, too. With 71 runs including expert double-black and first-timer green, there's a challenge for every level. For those less vertically inclined, there are more than 56 kilometers of tracked trails at the Mt. Bachelor Nordic Center, not to mention endless pristine trails that thread through the area's national forests.
